Take Care of Yourself

I hope you all are staying well this Fall and also as we move into winter. We don't have a television so we miss out on a lot of the hype that is out there - I'm so glad for that. While we were on our little holiday we saw, on television, a lot of hype about The Flu. Wow.

This is what we are doing to keep all those winter sicknesses at bay (Lord willing):

Get plenty of fresh air

Limit meat, dairy and processed food

Get plenty of rest

Supplement with vitamins and minerals

Drink fresh ginger tea often

and finally Exercise - your body and your soul

And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men. Acts 24:16

But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. 1Timothy 4:7-8

Even the Lord God 'exercises'. (of course the meaning of the word is different as God does not need to improve or strengthen himself)

But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD. Jeremiah 9:24
