The neighbors dog, Suzie, was yelping. Noah assumed she was calling him. He stepped out onto the back porch and yelped with her for about five minutes. Back and forth, they sounded off. It was hard to tell which yelp belonged to a five year old and which yelp belonged to a big brown dog.
After a while, the little boy came in, pushed his hands deep into his pockets, kicked the side of the table, and explained,
"Welp, Mom. Suzie and I had a good long talk. We were 'ruffing' together."
